Eagles Specials for the Season Opener

Tonight marks the beginning of the Chip Kelly era in Eagles football. And in this football crazed town that means bars are getting into the spirit by offering special Chip Kelly themed specials and other deals for the evening.

All ten Iron Hill Brewery locations will be offering the Chip Kelly burger. First served during Iron Hill’s burger month,  the Chip Kelly burger features Oregon blue cheese, a nod to Kelly’s previous job as head coach of the Oregon Ducks, as well as red onion confit, crushed potato chips and mushroom spread.

Shank’s Original on Delaware Avenue is offering “The Chip” tonight. $5 gets you a cheesesteak and bag of chips for $5.

Jose Pistola’s is joining up with Yards Brewing for an event they call 10 YARDS with Tom Kehoe. There will be $3 pints from four different pins of Yards beer plus seven other Yards offerings including Pynk and Trubble De Yards. Pistola’s will also be showcasing their Sunday football food specials for the event. Check out the invite for more details.

Billy Murphy’s in East Falls is also showcasing Yards beer as they celebrate the season’s kickoff with a whole pig from Esposito’s.

If football means fall and fall means pumpkin beers, then you’ll want to be at City Tap House tonight where they’ll be celebrating football’s return by tapping Southern Tier’s Pumpking beer.

At Sidecar every Monday is a bitter one with all pale ales and IPAs being a dollar off. The kitchen is also offering wing deals tonight and on upcoming Sundays.
