Wit Wine: A Cheesesteak and Wine Pairing at Joe’s Steaks
Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop, which saw a successful “eat-in” last Saturday has another one scheduled for tomorrow. Looking for another way to support Joe’s Steaks which has been receiving some backlash for changing its name from Chink’s? On Sunday, South Street’s Jet Wine Bar will be doing an odd but fun collaboration with the Northeast Philly cheesesteak shop. Joe’s will be serving up a three-course dinner of beef and chicken cheeesesteaks with cupcakes for dessert. Each course will be paired with wines chosen by Jet Wine Bar owner, Jill Weber.
The three-course dinner is just $18 and tickets must be purchased in advance.
1st Course: Signature Cheesesteak
paired with Pinot Noir from Blair Vineyards, Berks County
2nd Course: Chicken Cheesesteak
paired with Sparkling Chardonnay from Stargazers Vineyard, Chester County
3rd Course: Vanilla-Bean & Strawberry-Compote Cupcake with Strawberry Balsamic Frosting
