“The Art Of The Craft”: Free Stuff From 10 Arts All Summer Long

Okay, so “10 Arts” and “Free” are not two words you often see together, but dig this: All summer long, chef Nathan Volz and his crew from 10 Arts are offering classes on everything from how to make fresh mozzarella to how to drink whiskey like a pro. And these classes? They’re all free.

No, really. According to Volz, the kitchen at 10 Arts has recently taken a turn toward hand-crafting more ingredients. And apparently they’re having such a good time, they want to share the fun with the people.

Starting tomorrow, the classes will take place every Thursday, starting at 6pm, at the big communal table at 10 Arts. The series will run straight through the end of summer. Check out the demo schedule after the jump.

June 20:      Fresh, creamy mozzarella. Take home our foolproof recipe.

June 27:      Classic summer ceviche. Take home a marinade sample.

July 4:         Decadent summer ice creams.

July 18:       Charred tomato & spiced watermelon salad. Take home the recipe & spices.

July 25:       4 Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey tasting. Help us decide on a 10 Arts barrel.

August 1:   Three amazing variations of guacamole. Take home the recipe and chip seasoning.

August 8:      Aged spirits. Taste organic, craft liquor from a bygone era.

August 15:  Authentic Hawaiian Lau Lau (steamed fish in leaf). Take home the recipe card.

August 22:  Distillation 101 with our guest Pennsylvanian distillery.

August 29:   Mini “Asian inspired” pork tacos & kim chi slaw. Take home a bottle of marinade.
