18th Street Gets Another Lunch Option with Devon & Blakely
New York-based Devon & Blakely has set up base at 18th and Market, in the former Pikkles Plus location. The breakfast and lunch spot offers 18 hot soups daily, plus sandwiches, wraps, paninis, quesadiallas and salads. Yesterday we checked them out for lunch. We went with the Blackened Chicken Gyro which was really just a sliced chicken sandwich with spicy sauce on a grilled pita. Decent, but kind of small for $8.50.
Next time we’ll consider the tossed salad bar which had lots of fresh looking toppings to choose from. Salads start at $3.50 for a small and $4.50 for a large. Add-ons range from 50¢ to $2 each.
We’d have some photos of the inside but we were told no photos, and even had a finger wagged at us.
