Passover Menus Around Philadelphia


Caciofo Alla Giuda at Le Castagne

Passover begins at sundown this evening and Philadelphia restaurants are celebrating the Jewish Festival of Liberation with special passover menus.

a.kitchen – The Rittenhouse Square restaurant is serving a passover menu this Tuesday and Wednesday. It will inlcude a Seder Plate and Four Course dinner for $55 per person. Menu includes halibut gefilta fish and braised veal shoulder with Jerusalem artichokes and glazed beets.

Cantina Feliz & La Calaca Feliz  – Passover with a Mexican twist at Tim Spinner’s two restaurants. The four-course “Passover Feliz” menu will be available from March 25 through April 1st for $30 per person.

Le Castagne – The Center City Italian restaurant is offering a four-course Passover Menu running March 22 to April 5 for $35. Carciofo Alla Giuda (fried artichokes, Roman style) and roasted rosemary lamb are among the highlights.

London Grill – Celebrate Passover with London Grill’s annual Seder Dinner, a festive, four-course, $40 prix-fixe meal featuring modern interpretations of traditional dishes from co-owner Chef Michael McNally. Items from the Passover menu will also be available a la carte through Monday, April 1, along with special Passover cocktails.

Zahav – From Monday, March 25 until Tuesday, April 2, Zahav is offering a six-course Passover menu from Chef Michael Solomonov. The Passover feast is just $48 per person, and includes traditional and contemporary dishes that showcase  Solomonov’s skills. Among the highlights, Matzah Ball Soup with brisket, tomato and Yemenite curry and Whole Grilled Chicken with artichokes and favas.

Zesty’s – Join chef and owner Tom Konidaris as he celebrates Passover, Mediterranean style. The four-course prix fixe Seder dinner of traditional Passover favorites is offered this Monday and Tuesday for $35 per person.
