Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival

To kick off Manayunk’s Restaurant Week – September 30th-October 5 – Manayunk is holding its first StrEAT Food Festival on Main Street on Saturday September 29th from 10am-5pm. Over 20 vendors from the Philadelphia area will attend the event, the only day of the year that street vendors are allowed to sell food in Manayunk due to district regulations.

Read on for details and a list of participating vendors.

All day long vendors will be selling single servings of their fare for $3-$5 to pedestrians. Visitors can sit along picnic areas along the sidewalk or visit street sales from the stores along Main Street. Two parking lots along Main Street will be home to farmers’ markets as well, selling gourmet and homemade foods and local produce and live music will be played throughout the festival.

For this one-day-only affair each food truck is preparing a dish for the festival with a not-so-secret ingredient: apples! Each truck will make an apple themed creation for purchase, from spiced apple cider pops to apple chutney for hot dogs.

The list of participating vendors includes:

Jimmie’s Cupcakes
Kung Fu Hoagies
New Hope Premium Fountain
Rival Bros
Spot Burgers
Sweet Box Cupcakes
The Dapper Dog
Zea May’s
Zsa’s Gourmet Ice Cream Truck
And more!

Applications for vendors for the StrEAT Festival are still being accepted here.

Manayunk Restaurant Week will be from Sunday September 30 to Friday October 5. Participating restaurants will be selling three-course fixed price meals for $10, $20, or $30.
