RIP: Philly Belgian Beer Pioneer Michel Notredame
The Inquirer reports that former Brigid’s manager and Cuvee Notredame (now St. Stephen’s Green) partner Michel Notredame has died at the age of 61. The restaurateur passed away in his native Belgium, where he had returned in 2006, four years after closing Cuvee. A Philadelphia memorial service is apparently in the works.
UPDATE: I should probably read Foobooz more often. Art points out to me that he posted about the passing of Notredame way back on March 31st. Unclear on whether that April 4th memorial ever happened, since the Inquirer seems to indicate that the service is still being planned. If anyone has the information, please send it our way.
