Kandy Kake Sliders: The Second Horseman of the Apocalypse Arrives at Adsum

Back in December, Adsum chef-owner Matt Levin cooked up a Four Loko dinner that shook up the blogosphere. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, he’s come up with a new stunt dish: the Kandy Kake slider. What is it? More important, why is it?

What it is: house-ground brisket patties sandwiched between Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, topped with American cheese and Sriracha-cherry jam. $11 for a pair. Romantic!

Why it exists: To warn us of the coming plague of locusts? No. This is Levin’s way of supporting the foundering Tastykake company.

Tastykake foundering may itself be one of the signs of impending apocalypse, we’ll have to check our official Mayan calendars and get back to you.
