Hot Drinks on a Cold Snowy Day


Adsum – During Adsum’s happy hours, 5 to 7 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m., there will be free boozy apple cider.

Franklin Mortgage – Rush’s Rx is the Franklin’s take on a Scotch Skin.

James – Warm yourself in front of their fire with a $6 mulled cider & rum.

Jet Wine Bar – Ths South Street wine bar serves up $6 hot-buttered rum and $5 hot spiced-wine.

London Grill – Today all hot drinks are just $5. Enjoy a hot cider, hot toddy, hot buttered rum or Irish coffee.

Ranstead Room – The back alley bar offers Irish Coffee, hot buttered rum, the Ranstead toddy (with bourbon and star anise), spiced cider, and a brandy skin (brandy or applejack, sugar, hot water, long lemon peel).

Misconduct Tavern – The Locust Street bar is offering half-price hot cider with Sailor Jerry rum.

Rum Bar – Owner Adam Kanter has created a couple of hot concoctions for winter. The hot buttered rum is made with house-made butter batter and the hot navy grog is made with Chairman’s Reserve, Bacardi Superior, allspice dram, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and honey.

Village Belle – The Queen Village restaurant has created a special drink for the snow: a Mexican hot chocolate spiked with Patron coffee-flavored tequila for $8.

Village Whiskey – The bar seems like a warm spot to watch the snow fall, especially with their own hot toddy, made with Powers whiskey, spiced honey, lemon clove and cinnamon.
