New Chef & Menu at Rum Bar

Rum Bar has brought in a new chef and a new menu at the Walnut Street bar and restaurant. Executive chef Luis Lara aims to turn the spot into one of the city’s top Latin restaurants. Raised in the Dominican Republic and of Cuban Descent Lara comes from Ramona’s, his own Caribbean tapas restaurant in Haddonfield. His cousin is Philadelphia Phillies third-baseman Placido Polanco and his cousin-in-law is Lady Gaga.
