Forget Dancing with the Stars, This is Dining with the Stars
To observe Bristol Palin and The Situation tango, please watch Dancing with the Stars. To have dinner with a Philly celebrity like Ed Rendell at a local restaurant while raising money for the Ronald McDonald House, please tune into Dining with the Stars. The charity online auction gives supporters the opportunity to bid on a meal for themselves and up to nine friends – provided by one of the local restaurants and caterers – with a Philly star of their choice. The list of celebrity dinner partners is (for Philly) impressive. Who wouldn’t want to have lunch with Mayor Nutter at Davio’s? What will you and Phillies GM Ruben Amaro talk about over a cozy dinner in at G Lounge? You can even bid on a double dinner date with Philly mag’s editor-in-chief Tom McGrath and mayoral candidate columnist Sam Katz at Le Castagne.
Click through for the full list of potential dinner partners and information on how to bid.
Bidding starts Friday, October 15, 2010 at 12:01am and closes Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:59pm at www.philarmh.org/dwts. The winning bidder will have between November 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010 to schedule his/her meal at a mutually agreeable time with the selected celebrity. Here’s a list of the participating stars and restaurants.
