Guerilla Restaurant Week

We just received an email from Kar Vivekananthan, co-owner of Adsum regarding a South of South restaurant and food week. 10 restaurants have banded together to participate in a restaurant week of their own featuring discounted menus.

The quickly formed restaurant week runs counter to the Center City District’s Restaurant Week. Restaurants south of South Street are not eligible to participate in the CCD’s backed week. The pop-up restaurant week runs through Friday, September 24th and some restaurants will offer wine and cocktail pairings.

Join South of South Restaurants for Restaurant and Food Week!

Ten (10) restaurants located south of South are offering menus to coincide with Center City Restaurant Week and offered Sunday, September 12 until Friday, September 17and Sunday, September 19 until Friday, September 24.  The restaurants include:

    • First Course:  Choice of House Salad OR Empanadas Criollas, corn and cheese or beef OR Cornmeal crusted calamari, tomato, onions, peppers salad with a Smoked Orange BBQ Sauce
    • Second Course: Choice of Gnocchi, Ricotta style, sage, truffle brown butter, capers & shaved grana padano OR Asado, sampler of different cuts of meat and sausages grilled to perfection OR Grilled Scallops over a potato frittata served with Provencal sauce and grilled vegetables
    • Dessert Course: Choice of Tres Leches Cake OR Banana Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream OR Panqueques, thin crepes filled with Dulce de Leche and strawberries
