Garces Trading Co. Getting Liquor License

Plenty to puzzle in this post by the Insider. There’s a liquor license application at Garces Trading Co. No explanation has been provided as to why, though those close to the restaurant and Jose Garces say there is no intention to adding a bar to the Trading Co. But that just begs the question why the license application. Perhaps it is just in case the ongoing lawsuit against the PLCB by rival restaurateurs goes against the LCB and by extension, Garces.

We also found the wine store’s statistics eye opening. Michael Klein reports that in a single week at the on-site wine shop the store sold “$18,961 in wine, or 1,335 bottles, sold to 815 customers.”
