Beer Week Thoughts

We’ve just about recovered from Philly Beer Week. The third installment was the the largest yet and the first to occur in June.

We thought it was a great week for beer lovers.

Here are some of our highlights:

  • Bell’s night at City Tap House, we were surprised how much we liked the City Tap House space and the beers were just spectacular.
  • We’ll remember the vintage beer happy hour from Port Brewing/Lost Abbey and Dogfish Head at Nodding Head too. The food pairings were spot on and we were blown away by the 2008 Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA.
  • Getting to try Stillwater Artisinal Ales at Tria Fermentation School was another highlight. Brian Strumke is poised to be a star. Look for Stateside Saison and the forthcoming “of Love and Regret.”

What were your thoughts? What worked, what didn’t, what would you like to see for next year, besides a Flyers Stanley Cup win?
