Starr Moves Into the Mann This Summer

This afternoon, sources confirmed a deal that’s been in the works for weeks: Stephen Starr will continue to spread his catering wings this summer — he’s already set up shop at Duane Morris’s cafeteria and in Franklin Square — by taking over the fine-dining concession at the Mann Center. Early information points to a $39-a-head buffet served in the tented Mann Center Restaurant, starting with the season-opening David Byrne concert on June 5th.

Mann Center officials declined to comment.

UPDATE: The Inky‘s Michael Klein ran some more details on the Starr/Mann partnership over the weekend. Starr chef Shane Cash (whose quick grilling tip you can read about in this month’s Food & Wine) will create a menu where items will change according to night’s performance, and bread will come from Parc.
