The Main Line Gets Fresh and Local

The new-this-year Bryn Mawr Farmers’ Market celebrates its opening day on Saturday, May 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Located off Lancaster Avenue between the Bryn Mawr train station and Luddington Library, the market has lined up a small but really nice collection of vendors, including West Chester’s Shellbark Hollow Farm (which makes a chef-favorite goat cheese), Birchrun Hills Farm (which will sell pork and veal as well as cheese), the Northeast’s Wild Flour Bakery (whose rolls are used for the Rouge Burger), and produce growers from Lancaster and Glen Mills. The Saturday-only market will run through the fall; look for special giveaways and a plant sale on opening day.
