Drew Lazor reports Jonathan McDonald will be leaving as chef at Snackbar this Saturday. No replacement has been named and McDonald will spend some time consulting. [The Clog]

Just a couple blocks away Michael Klein reports that Melograno is on the move, heading to 2010 Sansom Street. Klein speculates that chef David Katz could wind up in Melograno as he and landlord Andrew Krouk tried to go into business together at 24th and Locust but ran into resistance from neighbors who didn’t want a liquor license at that location.
