Criticizing Critics

The NY food blogs are atwitter today with the tale of Danyelle Freeman, the restaurant critic for the New York Daily News, who allegedly left her notes at the restaurant she was reviewing. Freeman, a blogger known as Restaurant Girl, was excoriated throughout the NY foodie community for her lack of anonymity when she was hired as a critic by the Daily News . A lack of anonymity which extended to publishing her photo alongside her reviews.

So how did she write her review if she left her notes at the restaurant? Does she rock the hidden microphone that Craig LaBan is rumored to have up his sleeve?
