Weekend To Do

Friday
Why not hit up a happy hour, some of our favorites are at the Bishop’s Collar in Fairmount, Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown or the Royal Tavern in South Philadelphia.

Saturday
If you were lucky enough to snag a ticket to World Cafe Live’s Beats, Brews & BBQ before it sold out, enjoy. Otherwise you might think about heading to Exton and the Drafting Room where they’ll be pouring some of 2006’s best beers. If Exton is too far, learn about beer at Yards Brewery where they’ll be enlightening the interested in the origins of lager in Philadelphia.

At night check out the dancing, singing and drinking at Bridget Foy’s as the upstairs is transformed into 1940s era nightclub.

Sunday
in Downingtown Victory will be crowning the Victory Chili King at their 5th annual chili cook off.

Sunday night settle in to watch the Oscars with a quality beer, perhaps one that made Ginger’s top 12 list.

If settling in isn’t your speed, there’s a big-time Oscars party at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville.

Barristers Bar & Grille is throwing a Oscars bash as well. Half-priced appetizers and drink specials from 6:30 PM on.
