Bar Ferdinand Set To Open Tomorrow

Chef Joffe
Michael Klein reports that Northern Liberties’ Bar Ferdinand will be opening tomorrow. Klein also goes into a bit of detail on why we should take this next note and all opening dates, with a grain of thought.

Philebrity posts that the Johnny Brenda’s live music venue could open as soon as August 17th.

According to Philebrity and seconded by A.D. Amorosi, Ortlieb’s Jazzhaus has been sold for a cool Million.

A.D.’s column today notes “T. Rogers” who owned “the eponymous dark, swank blues-and-BBQ spot where Mantra resides on 18th. Well, we hear rumors Rogers has got big-cash backing, not only for a new like-minded spot on S. 19th St., but for a mini-chain of T-time rooms.”

Also coming soon according to City Paper’s Feeding Frenzy is Canadian franchise Pita Pit. Pita Pit’s first Philadelphia location is set to open soon at 1601 Sansom Street. Expect a wide choice of grilled meats and toppings stuffed in a pita.
