As a gynecologic oncologist, my patients benefit from my surgical expertise and my individualized approach to patient care. Each patient is unique and my goal is to partner with my patients to develop a personalized and coordinated approach that meets their goals and needs. We take a team approach to care - from the moment a patient and their family calls our office, we work together as a team to provide the highest level of patient care.
I strive to be a compassionate, caring, and down to earth doctor who can relate to patients. Getting diagnosed with cancer can be a very frightening and stressful experience for the patients and their loved ones. I try to ease the confusion and have a plan of attack in place to tackle the diagnosis one step at a time. My compassion comes from losing my father to cancer and I personally can relate to patients and their family.
I once received a hand written note from a daughter of my patient who was only seven years old. She wrote “Thank you for making my mommy better!” She also drew me a picture of herself with me! These are the moments that keeps me going. I thrive on the long standing relationship I build with my patients. We celebrate another year of survivorship. I share their tears when cancer recurs. We are together through happy and tough times.
