Fortune and Great Place to Work compiled a list of the “Best Large Workplaces for Millennials 2019.” This year’s list featured 75 companies, a significant decrease from the 100 companies that were featured last year.  Two Philly-area companies still managed to make the cut, however, as places that meet the professional needs of millennials.

To be considered for the list, companies had to have at least 50 millennials employed and employees were asked to respond to over 60 survey questions. The survey is based largely on millennials’ belief and trust that their company will allow them to reach their full potential. Philadelphia telecommunications giant Comcast and Chester home remodeling firm Power Home Remodeling were featured for another year. Here’s where they ranked:

Power Home Remodeling

Power Home Remodeling comes in at 7th, one spot below where they finished last year. According to Great Place To Work, 92 percent of the company’s 2,600 employees are millennials. Employees told Great Place to Work, “You are given the space and resources to make your own decisions. I love having the freedom and trust to make important decisions. It has helped me grow exponentially professionally.” Survey results show that more than 96 percent of respondents feel that it is a great place to work and feel welcome when they join the company. The surveyed also revealed, however, that most employees stay at the company for fewer than two years.

The company comes in at No. 56 this year, 16 spots higher than last year’s ranking. In surveys, employees raved about how they are treated with care. “Leadership legitimately cares about their team members, and the company understands that nurturing the strengths of its employees to progress them to positions they can excel in is not only a benefit to the workers, but the company as a whole,” one respondent said. 90 percent of the employees said that this is a great place to work because of the company’s collaborative culture and benefits.
