Top 12 Hospitals in the Philadelphia Area
The No. 1 hospital in the Philadelphia region is the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking from U.S. News & World Report.
HUP ranked 9th nationally on this year’s list — the only Philadelphia hospital to crack the top 15.
The hospital is nationally ranked in 13 specialties. It did particularly well in ear, nose and throat (4th), cardiology and heart surgery (8th), diabetes and endocrinology (10th), pulmonology (10th), cancer (11th), and urology (12th).
