The Eagles hope to stay in the NFC playoff hunt and return to .500 as they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. The Eagles look to go 6-6 on the season. Jordan Matthews is out, while Nelson Agholor is active. Matthew has never missed a game due to injury in college or the NFL until today (h/t Adam Schefter). We’ll periodically update this thread throughout the game with highlights and drive summaries. Feel free to jump in the comments below.

4:06 – END OF REGULATION: The Bengals defeat the Eagles, 32-14. The Eagles fall to 5-7 on the season. The team hosts the Washington Redskins next week. Instant Observations.

4:00 – Paul Turner has caught more balls in his second NFL game than in any game Agholor has in his entire career.

3:57 – FIELD GOAL: Nugent banks a 38-yard try off the left upright. The Bengals now lead the Eagles, 32-14, with 2:45 to play.

3:55 – Brian Westbrook isn’t a fan of the play calling from Pederson.

3:50 – INTERCEPTION: Burfict picks off Wentz on fourth down and returns it to the Philadelphia 20.

3:45 – FUMBLE: The Bengals throw a pass to offensive lineman Jake Fisher and Nigel Bradham rips the ball out of his hands. This game isn’t over yet with 6:02 left to play and the Eagles starting at their own 44.

3:40 – TOUCHDOWN: Darren Sproles runs it in from two yards out. Sturgis makes the PAT to cut the Cincinnati lead to 29-14 with 6:53 left to play. Dorial Green-Beckham also heads into the locker room for x-rays on his ribs. His return is questionable.

3:38 – Pederson goes on fourth down again and Wentz finds a much improved Nelson Agholor for the first.

3:33 – Burfict’s shoulder collides into Green-Beckham, and DGB is down on the field. He gets back up after a few minutes.

3:32 – Carson Wentz is also a receiver.

3:22 – INTERCEPTION: George Iloka picks off the ball and bats it to Shawn Williams. Bengals get the ball right back.

3:19 – FUMBLE: Bennie Logan forces and recovers a Rex Burkhead fumble. Eagles take over at their own 41.

3:17 – END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: The Bengals lead the Eagles, 29-7.

3:10 – TOUCHDOWN: Doug Pederson decides to go for it on fourth down and Wentz finds a wide open Zach Ertz. Sturgis makes the PAT to cut the Bengals lead to 29-7 with 2:30 left in the third quarter.

3:05 – Kenjon Barner gets a big 61-yard return on the kickoff before Mike Nugent knocks him out of bounds. Eagles start from the Bengals’ 38 yard line.

3:01 – FIELD GOAL: Mike Nugent makes a 26-yard field goal try. The Bengals now lead the Eagles, 29-0, with 4:18 left in the third quarter.

2:52 – INTERCEPTION: Vontaze Burfict picks off a wobbly Wentz pass. Bengals take over.

2:50 – All isn’t lost: Paul Turner made his first NFL catch for a gain of 41 yards. He follows that with a 10-yard grab.

2:44 – TOUCHDOWN: Dalton finds Brandon LaFell as he gets past the secondary. Nugent makes the extra point after coming onto the field with some boos. The Bengals lead the Eagles, 26-0, with 11:21 left in the third quarter.

2:41 – The Eagles’ defense can’t get any stops on third downs today. Bengals are driving inside the red zone.

2:37 – Second half is underway.

2:22 – HALFTIME: The Bengals lead the Eagles, 19-0, at the half. Since the Eagles elected to receive the ball in the first half, Cincinnati will get the ball to start the second half. Halftime Observations.

2:20 – TOUCHDOWN: Andy Dalton finds Tyler Eifert for a 13-yard catch. Mike Nugent’s PAT struggles continue, as the Bengals lead, 19-0, with seven seconds remaining in the first half.

2:07 – The Eagles have to punt again. They’re not doing well on offense and defense.

2:05 – Trey Burton has more receiving yards than the rest of the Eagles’ pass catchers today.

2:03 – Carson Wentz has not looked sharp today. It’s his third dropped interception of the day.

1:57 – FIELD GOAL: Mike Nugent makes a 32-yard field goal to give the Bengals a 13-0 lead. 6:23 left in the half.

1:48 – After a very questionable play call to run on third-and-nine, Caleb Sturgis misses a 51-yard field goal and hits the right goal post. Bengals still lead, 10-0, with 9:09 left in the opening half.

1:46 – Wentz converts another third down to Trey Burton for 15 yards and a first down at the Cincinnati 33 yard line.

1:38 – END OF THE FIRST QUARTER: The Bengals lead the Eagles, 10-0.

1:37 – Things look bleak right now for the Eagles.

1:31 – TOUCHDOWN: Jeremy Hill runs it in from three-yards out. Nugent makes the PAT after missing his last three attempts. The Bengals lead the Eagles, 10-0, with 1:32 left in the opening quarter.

1:30 – Cody Core beats Nolan Carroll for a 50-yard gain for the Bengals. It’s his first NFL reception and it puts Cincinnati at the five yard line.

1:24 – A third down pass to Dorial Green-Beckham is incomplete. Might have been a little high, but it went through DGB’s hands. Eagles punt again.

1:18 – Nelson Agholor catches his first target since being inactive last week. Knocked it in the air and caught the deflection.

1:12 – FIELD GOAL: Mike Nugent makes a 32-yard field goal after Jaylen Watkins drops a potential interception on third down. Referees might have also missed a pass interference call on Nigel Bradham on that play as well. Bengals take the early 3-0 lead with 10:22 left in the opening quarter.

1:11 – Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey is questionable to return after suffering a right thumb injury on that near interception on third down during the Eagles’ first offensive drive.

1:06 – Eagles go three-and-out to start the game. Donnie Jones had a bad punt and the Bengals start at around midfield.

1:05 – Nelson Agholor, Dorial Green-Beckham, and Paul Turner are the starting receivers. An interesting note from Peter Schrager on the Fox broadcast:

1:00 – Eagles captains for today: Brent Celek, Connor Barwin, and Chris Maragos. The team wins the coin toss and elect to receive the opening kick.

11:30 – Jordan Matthews, Ryan Mathews, and Halapoulivaati Vaitai are notable inactives for the Eagles today. See the full list here.
