The Eagles travel to Arlington to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in the first of two meetings between the teams. The Eagles look to go 5-2 on the season and take over first place in the NFC East. We’ll periodically update this thread throughout the game with highlights and drive summaries. 12:02 – TOUCHDOWN: Jason Witten catches it from five yards out to win the game. Cowboys win, 29-23, in overtime.

11:59 – Prescott converts on a fourth-and-one. Dallas is in the redzone.

11:52 – Morris Claiborne is out for the overtime period with a groin injury.

11:50 – Eagles lose the coin toss. Dallas will receive the ball to start overtime.

11:48 – END OF THE FOURTH QUARTER: The Eagles and the Cowboys are tied at 23 as we enter overtime.

11:47 – Carson Wentz remarkably holds onto the ball with a Cowboys defender trying to tackle him. Dallas takes over at their own 28 with 33 seconds left.

11:40 – Dallas goes three-and-out and punts. Eagles take over at their own 20 with 1:13 to go. Both teams have all three timeouts left.

11:37 – Eagles go three-and-out and a bad punt by Donnie Jones puts the Cowboys at their own 40 yard line with 1:42 left.

11:30 – TOUCHDOWN: Prescott finds Dez Bryant for the game-tying 22-yard touchdown. 23 all with 3:04 left in the game.

11:17 – The Eagles have to punt from the Dallas 36 yard line after losing important yards on third down to take them out of field goal range.

11:05 – FIELD GOAL: Dan Bailey barely makes a 49-yard field goal with 11:34 left in the game. Eagles still lead the Cowboys, 23-16.

11:02 – FUMBLE: Wendell Smallwood can’t hold onto the ball, and the Cowboys take over at the Eagles’ 36 yard line.

11:00 – Cowboys try another trick play with Cole Beasley throwing deep to Terrance Williams, but is slightly overthrown. Eagles force another three-and-out.

10:53 – FIELD GOAL: Sturgis hits a 34-yard field goal try. The Eagles lead the Cowboys, 23-13, with 14:09 left in the game.

10:48 – END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: The Eagles lead the Cowboys, 20-13. Eagles are at the Dallas 29 yard line.

10:47 – Josh Huff returns the opening kickoff 63 yards to the Dallas 34 yard line.

10:43 – FIELD GOAL: Dan Bailey nails a 23-yard field goal. Eagles lead the Cowboys, 20-13, with 56 seconds left in the third quarter.

10:37 – The Eagles’ defense looks to be in a rhythm, but the Cowboys fake a punt and advance for 30 yards for a first down.

10:32 – TOUCHDOWN: Jordan Matthews catches a five-yard pass from Carson Wentz to give the Eagles a 20-10 lead after a Sturgis PAT. 6:20 left in the third quarter.

10:19 – Dallas goes three-and-out on their opening drive of the second half.

10:13 – Eagles go three-and-out, with Dallas taking over.

10:11 – Eagles receive the second half kickoff and will start at their own eight yard line.

10:09 – Allen Barbre (hamstring) is out for the remainder of the game. Jason Kelce was seen limping at the end of the first half. Only Matt Tobin is the remaining backup offensive linemen. Stefen Wisniewski is filling in for Barbre.

9:57 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis nails a 55-yard kick to give the Eagles a 13-10 lead at the end of the first half. Eagles get the ball to start the third quarter. Click here to see Instant Observations from the first half.

9:50 – INTERCEPTION: Jordan Hicks saves the Eagles from giving up points with an interception in the endzone.

9:45 – Cowboys are driving in Eagles territory as the two minute warning approaches.

9:37 – TOUCHDOWN: Ryan Mathews runs it in from one yard out, and a Sturgis PAT ties the game up. 10-10 with 3:41 left in the first half.

9:29 – Eagles’ defense forces a Dallas three-and-out, and the Birds are at the Dallas 38.

9:23 – Eagles still can’t get anything big going on offense. Cowboys take over deep in their territory.

9:13 – FIELD GOAL: Dan Bailey hits a 38-yard field goal to give the Cowboys a 10-3 lead.

9:10 – END OF THE FIRST QUARTER: The Eagles trail the Cowboys, 7-3, with the Cowboys driving into Eagles territory.

9:03 – Eagles go three-and-out, with no sign of Ryan Mathews so far this game.

8:57 – Allen Barbre has a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.

8:55 – TOUCHDOWN: Dak Prescott runs in for a seven-yard score and the Cowboys lead, 7-3, with 4:41 left in the opening quarter.

8:53 – Dez Bryant goes right by Leodis McKelvin on a deep ball for 53 yards and puts the Cowboys inside the Eagles’ 25 yard line.

8:48 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis knocks down a 30-yard attempt before he gets ran over by a Cowboys defender. Eagles decline the penalty and lead Dallas, 3-0.

8:42 – The Eagles get a lucky too many men on the field penalty as they punt on fourth down and are at the Dallas 39 yard line.

8:36 – Marcus Smith (!) with two impressive plays on the Dallas drive, including a sack. Eagles take over at their own 38 yard line.

8:32 – Eagles kick the ball off and we are underway from Arlington. And Lucky Whitehead fumbles the kickoff thanks to Terrence Brooks, but keeps the ball.

8:28 – Malcolm Jenkins raises his fist once again during the national anthem. With Ron Brooks on IR, Jenkins was the only Eagle that continued with his demonstration.

8:25 – Cowboys win the toss and will receive the ball to start.

8:24 – Eagles captains for tonight are Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Jordan Hicks , and Donnie Jones.

7:05 – As expected, Bennie Logan and Kamu Grugier-Hill are out, along with Taylor Hart. The Eagles will have only three defensive tackles active. Terrance Brooks and C.J. Smith are active. See the full list of inactives.
