The Eagles will sign former Texans guard Brandon Brooks to a 5-year deal worth $40 million, Ian Rapoport reported. The 26-year-old was a 2012 third-round draft pick and started all but four games for Houston in the last three seasons.

Brooks, who is 6-5 and weighs 335 pounds according to the Texans’ website, became Houston’s full-time starter at right guard in 2013. The Eagles have two significant holes to fill on the offensive line at both guard positions, so it’s likely they will either sign another guard or draft one.

To replace Brooks, the Texans reportedly agreed to terms with former Chiefs guard Jeff Allen, whom many considered a potential Eagles target in free agency.
