Report: Eagles Almost Traded For Dion Jordan

Miami Dolphins edge defender and former Oregon Duck Dion Jordan has been suspended for the 2015 season for again violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

But what’s more interesting for this audience is that the Eagles were close to trading for Jordan before the suspension was announced.

Per the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, the Eagles would have sent a conditional late-round pick to the Dolphins. Evan Mathis had also been discussed.

It’s worth noting that the Dolphins were previously said to be interested in Brandon Boykin as well.

Anyway, now there’s obviously no deal. Jordan will try to get his life back together, and when he works towards getting back on the field down the road, we’ll see if Chip Kelly takes a flier.
