Jaguars Claim Jason Babin
There are two teams in the NFL that have fewer wins than the 3-8 Eagles.
And today, one of them claimed defensive end Jason Babin.
According to multiple reports, the Jaguars added Babin today through waivers. Per Adam Schefter, eight teams put a claim in on him.
As Tim mentioned yesterday, the move doesn’t have any financial implications for the Eagles. They were already off the hook for his remaining salary this year because Babin collected termination pay when he was cut by the Seahawks earlier in his career.
The Jaguars are 2-9 on the season and are tied for last in the league with just 13 sacks.
Babin is 32. He led the Eagles with 5.5 sacks through 11 games, but was far off his pace of 18 from last season. He was second to Trent Cole with 30 hurries and is rarely a factor against the run.
Earlier today, Tim rounded up reaction on Babin’s departure from the Eagles’ locker room.
