There’s a Brand-New Dilworth Park Fitness Series Launching This Fall

Sad that summer’s pretty much officially over? Chin up, kiddo. While outdoor free fitness season may have come to a close, that doesn’t mean that all al fresco sweat sessions are done for 2018. Center City District — yep, the very same folks that host the annual Spring Training series —  is here to save the day with their *new* Dilworth Park fitness series, Center City Fit.

Given that, let’s be honest, the warm weather will still be with us for several weeks (if not months!) we’re glad to see that CCD has made the move to keep the free fitness gravy train running. For this new series, they’ve partnered with Optimum Sport Health Clubs, whose trainers will lead free workouts on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

On Mondays at 6 p.m., you’ll find the gratis outdoor Zumba classes at Dilworth Park. On Tuesdays at 6 p.m., Optimum Sport trainers will lead cardio kickboxing classes at the park. Oh, and the best part: There’s no need to sign up for either — just show up with your water and fitness gear, ready to sweat.

The classes launched on September 4 with the first cardio kickboxing class, and they will run every Monday and Tuesday evening through October 16. That’s 13 free fitness classes, friends, yours for the taking.

And if you’re looking for even more free fitness (aren’t we all?), make sure you’re signed up for our BWP Underground series, which is launching again for the fall this season. Our *free* surprise pop-up workouts run once a month, every month, September through May — and trust me, we’ve got some very good events coming up.

Join the new Center City Fit series at Dilworth Park starting September 4 at 6 p.m. Dilworth Park is located at 1 South 15th Street.
