We may be nearing the end of outdoor pop-up workout season, but the fun isn’t completely over. In September you’ll have the chance to join a Manayunk Bridge barre class that’s totally donation-based.

Hosted by The Wall Fitness, Manayunk’s resident barre and spin studio, this barre class will take place in the middle of the Manayunk bridge, with views overlooking the Schuylkill River. The class is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $15 cash. Alternatively, participants can throw in an extra $5, and their $20 total donation will score them a free class credit to use at The Wall in October.

There’s a good reason to be generous, too: 100 percent of the donations will go to benefit Endure to Cure. This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supports pediatric cancer patients and their families through “Small Miracles” — Endure to Cure’s program that answers patient requests — and their Travel for Treatment Assistance program, which helps families access the care they need.

You’ll want to bring your mat to this Manayunk Bridge barre class, and if you sign up, you’ll want to make sure to show up — no-shows will be charged a $15 fee and banned from future donation-based classes hosted by The Wall.

The pop-up class is scheduled for Friday, September 28, at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, anyone who’s interested can join for a group happy hour. You can register for the class on The Wall Fitness’ MindBody page under the events tab here.
