Earlier this month, we teased that East Falls was getting a new yoga studio, and we are happily here to inform you all that Yoga Brain has set an opening date! The last weekend of September will bring a three-day celebration of the new yoga studio’s opening filled with yoga, community, health, and wellness. Mark your calendars!
The grand opening weekend will take place from Friday, September 28, through Sunday, September 30, during which the studio will host an open house filled with local community partners, games, and raffles. Healthy eating author Lisa Montgomery will also be popping by for a book signing during the opening. And, of course, there will be yoga — boy, oh, boy will there be yoga. All classes on Saturday, September 29, will be donation-based, and every $5 donation will score the donator raffle tickets for prizes and special packages.
Yoga Brain has set up shop on Conrad Street in East Falls, not far from the beautifully plant-filled (and Best of Philly award-winning) Vault and Vine where the owner of Yoga Brain, Justine Bacon, has been hosting pop-up classes during the buildout of her studio.
After the grand opening weekend, the studio will commence their working schedule spanning seven days a week with varying styles of yoga including Hatha, Ashtanga, Kundalini, women’s yoga, Yin, Sivanada, Vinyasa, and, of course, Bacon’s signature yoga for runners and cyclists. They’re currently raising money to add heated classes to the schedule.
All of the last-minute details about the grand opening will be posted on their Instagram and Facebook pages so be sure to check in there for up-to-date information on the festivities, pre-sales and registration.
Yoga Brain is located at 3426 Conrad Street.
