5 Philly Hotels With Amazing Gyms, Spas, and Wellness Amenities

Spend your next staycation working out and relaxing at one of these luxurious Philly hotels.

Though it’s becoming trendier for hotels to advertise their wellness services, there are many hotels where the on-site gyms are major disappointments. We here at Be Well Philly firmly believe that you can get in a good workout anywhere — but TBH, we’d really love it if “anywhere” had more than one treadmill and a box of mismatched dumbbells.

That said, there are some Philly hotels in the area with wellness amenities that won’t disappoint. From gyms stocked with top-of-the-line machines to spas that’ll take your skincare and self-care to the next level, these are four Philly hotels where we’d gladly spend a wellness-focused staycation.

The Bellevue Hotel

Where: 200 South Broad Street, Center City
What: Access to the 93,000-square-foot Sporting Club at the Bellevue fitness facility and spa and the Artur Kirsh Salon & Spa.

While in most hotel gyms you’ll find a few dinky treadmills and some hand weights if you’re lucky, at this Hyatt, a night’s stay grants you access to the Sporting Club at the Bellevue’s massive fitness facility. From the large, open cardio and strength floor to the pool to the upscale locker rooms to the NBA-sized basketball court, you may never want your stay to end. Plus, you can unwind with spa treatments like deep-tissue massages or anti-aging facials, or head to the Artur Kirsh salon for everything from haircuts to waxing to body scrubs.

Where: 1 Logan Square, Logan Square
What: Access to a fitness center, salt-water pool, meditation room, and full-service spa.

While the hotel lobby looks like any other boutique hotel lobby, take the elevator down and you’ll suddenly find yourself in a wellness paradise. Take in a big whiff of the aromatherapy air, then decide what you want to do first: A dip in the salt-water pool? A few moments of mindfulness in the meditation room? A jaunt on the cardio machines overlooking the pool? A pedicure at the spa? How about a Hydrafacial? Yeah, we’d plan on skipping that cable-TV-and-room-service routine, too.

The Ritz-Carlton

Where: 10 Avenue of the Arts, Center City
What: The on-site luxury spa The Richel D’Ambra Spa & Salon.

The Ritz-Carlton’s on-site spa isn’t just any hotel spa — it’s one of the nicest spas in the city. Prepare to forget that you’re right in Center City — that you didn’t actually jet off to a luxury resort — as you settle in for skincare treatments, massages, turns in the sauna and steam rooms, or more unique services like chakra balancing and Tibetan bowls.

The Rittenhouse

Where: 210 West Rittenhouse Square, Rittenhouse
What: Access to The Rittenhouse Spa & Club, where you’ll find a heated indoor pool, fitness facility, and a full-service spa.

This luxury hotel has equally luxurious wellness amenities. First, there’s the stunning spa and salon — where you can try everything from an organic facial to a deep-moisture wrap to deep hair conditioning. Then, there’s the fitness club, where in addition to your treadmills and ellipticals, there are RealRyder and Pelaton indoor cycling bikes, an outdoor fitness deck for practicing some yoga in the sunshine, an indoor pool, and sauna and steam rooms.

The Four Seasons

Where: Comcast Technology Center, 1 N 19th Street, Logan Square
What: Access to high-in-the-sky infinity pool, plus a well-equipped fitness center. There’s also a very swanky spa.

When the Four Seasons opened in Comcast’s new skyscraper, they also stepped up our luxury spa game. The spa, located on the 57th floor of the Comcast Technology Center, puts its treatment rooms right up against the glass — which means that you get to enjoy the view and some lovely services like organic facials, massages, and more. The hotel also has trainers on staff to do one-on-one sessions in the gym or individual aqua cycling classes in the pool.
