Here’s your official heads-up: Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 13. While giving your beloved mother a card or a gift is an awesome start to the day, experiences make for awesome gifts — even better if they’re fitness related.

Read on for seven Mother’s Day 2018 celebrations that are good for you and, more importantly, good for her. We’ve got something here for nearly every activity level — some are even free! — from meditation to swing dancing and more, there is an exciting way to celebrate Mother’s Day 2018.

Where: Maha Yoga; 1700 Sansom Street, Rittenhouse
What: Maha Yoga is treating moms to free classes all day this Mother’s Day. Moms will be treated like royalty; they don’t need to sign up ahead of time, just show up and tell the front desk that they’re a mom and, yep, they’re in. Plus, all moms who practice that day will be entered in a drawing for one of Maha’s handmade eye pillows. Classes are free for moms all day; check out the schedule here.

Where: Kendrick Recreation Center; 5822 Ridge Avenue, Roxborough
What: Clock some miles for or with your mom at the 17th annual Roxborough Mother’s Day Walk and Run bright and early (check in starts at 7 a.m.!) on Sunday morning. There are a few options here, depending on your pace — there’s a one-mile walk, 5K or 8K walk, and then an 8K run. The best part? No matter how many miles you hit, the proceeds from this event go to local breast cancer patients and survivors. Plus, there will be prizes for the first place winners in the male and female as well as adult and child categories. It’s $35 to register — which you can do here — the day of, or $30 before May 11.

Where: Athleta; 1722 Walnut Street, Rittenhouse
What: Could you imagine a better Mother’s Day than meditation mixed with DIY flower arrangements? Well, friends, Athleta is making dreams come true: Vitality Meditation will be leading a peaceful meditation, followed by DIY flower crown making a la Nature’s Gallery Florist. Sweetgreen and Honest Tea will be providing light refreshments for all moms and kids (even grown-up kids!). The event takes place from 9 to 11 a.m.; register here and don’t forget to BYO mat.

Where: Bartram’s Garden; 5400 Lindergh Boulevard, West Fairmount Park
What: Is your mom a nature appreciator? Well, this Mother’s Day bird walk is the perfect way to kick off the day of celebrating her. This event will be led by a group of local bird watching experts, Bird Philly, who will be taking you and your beloved Mom through the surprisingly diverse and bird-attracting environment of Bartram’s Garden’s 45-plus acres. The walk kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Welcome Center in Bartram’s Garden; this is free event, but you should register here.

Where: TORC Yoga; 31 South 2nd Street, Old City
What: For more of a relaxed Mother’s Day celebration, visit TORC for a nice yoga session followed by brunch. Indulge in some much-needed rejuvenation with your mom in a 60-minute fabulous yoga class led by the gifted souls at TORC. From noon to 1 p.m., you will refuel with a tasty brunch catered by the equally-as-fabulous Cafe Ole who will be laying out a bagel, Shakshuka, muffin, coffee, and juice spread. The class will focus on strengthening your core and pelvic floor, as well as your arms and butt — all while your little one is right there wiggling their toes and smiling up at you. This one-hour class starts at 12 p.m. and will run you $15 for mommy and baby. Reserve your spot here.

Where: Glen Foerd on the Delaware; 5001 Grant Avenue, Northeast
