While most people’s Valentine’s Day celebrations include decadent dinners, bottomless champagne, and chocolate galore, that’s not for everyone — some couples would rather celebrate their relationship by sweating it out, and then indulging. So, if you and your significant other (of BFF, for that matter) want to get sweaty and steamy for Valentine’s Day this year, we’ve got eight workouts happening in Philly that will help make your celebration special — and calorie-burning.

For the artsy couple

What: As kids we did finger painting, and as adults we do yoga painting — I mean, I guess. That’s the plan anyways at TORC Yoga, where you and your boo will do yoga on a canvas mat covered in paint, then walk away at the end of the night with a (truly) one-of-a-kind work of art. Tickets are $35 per person, grab yours here.
Where: TORC Yoga; 31 South 2nd Street, Old City
When: Saturday, February 10, from 1 to 3 p.m.

For the overworked couple

What: Amrita Yoga and Wellness is hosting a special Thai Yoga Massage workshop that is perfect for a couple who works out a lot or just needs to destress. Get hands-on training on the proper methods for efficiently applying pressure to the body that you can take home with you — skills that will definitely cut down your #selfcare expenses. Tickets are $95 per couple, grab your tickets here.
Where: Amrita Yoga and Wellness; 1204 Frankford Avenue, Fishtown
When: Saturday, February 10, and Sunday, February 11, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

For the couple that likes to get a little wild

What: You know those red party bikes rolling through Center City on weekends blasting loud music with a bunch of people pedaling them heading from one bar to another? Well, you can book them for a private pub crawl for your and your special someone, or gather a big group of friends to ride and drink together! While this may sound like a crazy Valentines Day or winter activity, the Big Red Pedal Tours offer a pub crawl that will surely warm you up — a Hot Toddy crawl.
Where: They offer tours of various neighborhoods, so it depends on the tour you pick.
When: Whenever you schedule it!

For the couple whose love will keep them warm

What: Grab your honey or your Gal-entine and head to the Sweetheart Skate. Taking place in two sessions — from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and 9 to 10:30 p.m. — Sweetheart Skate will feature, in addition to skating (duh), chocolate, flowers, access to a photo booth, and a live deejay accepting requests. Talk about a top-notch Valentine’s Day! Tickets will run $25 per sweetie.
Where: Blue Cross RiverRink; 101 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Penn’s Landing
When: Wednesday, February 14, from 7 to 11 p.m.

PSA: There’s also a Sweetheart Skate at Dilworth Park’s Rothman Ice Rink — they’re offering buy one, get one free admission tickets so you can skate on the cheap with your valentine. Swing by City Hall between 4 and 8 p.m. for the deal and, hey, maybe you could hit the other Sweetheart Skate after if you and your boo are die-hard skaters!

For the couple that like hanging out at bars

What: If you and your loved one like indulging in an adult beverage at a bar, SWEAT Fitness is here to fuel your workout with Champagne. Their bubbly and strawberry-filled vinyasa flows in celebration of Valentine’s Day are going down at SWEAT’s Old City and Queen’s Village locations on the 14th at 6 p.m., or their Manayunk location at 6:30. Come prepared to sweat, stretch, and sip — and since it’s free, just give the gym a call to reserve a spot for you and your other half.
Where: SWEAT Fitness; Old City, Bella Vista and Manayunk locations only.
When: Wednesday, February 14, at 6 or 6:30 (depending on your location).

For the couple that’s ready to mingle

What: Is there a better way to celebrate this lovey-dovey holiday than doing yoga in mid-air? We think not. Whether you’re in love or looking for love, participants will mingle around the studio, practicing with multiple partners at this fun acro yoga workshop. Plus, this unique experience will definitely gain you some creativity points if you’re giving it as a gift to your Valentine. Refreshments will be served after the session in hopes of promoting more interaction. Tickets are $35 a pop, grab yours here.
Where:
TORC Yoga; 31 South 2nd Street, Old City
When: Wednesday, February 14, at 7:15 p.m.

For the couple who really just wants a quiet night in

What: Three Queens wants to help you embrace the love, whether it be for yourself or your partner, in an evening of movement, sound, and healing. The evening will kick off with a rejuvenating flow and your savasana will be filled with a peaceful and harmonic sound bath. There will also be time for writing self-love affirmations as well as healing from sonic vibrations. Sip-N-Glo Juicery will be there providing elixirs for all participants to enjoy. Tickets are $40 per person or $65 for couples, grab your spot here.
Where: Three Queens Yoga; 410 Monroe Street, Bella Vista
When: Wednesday, February 14, from 7 to 9 p.m.

For the couple that’s not a couple

What: Is there anything more fun than sweating it out with your bestie? Fortunately, you don’t need a significant other to have a blast on Valentines Day because The Wall is hosting a Galentine’s Spin and Sculpt class for all the gal pals out there. The workout will be a combination of indoor cycling and strength training in a jam-packed (and sweat-filled!) 50 minutes. Plus, there will be some special in-studio activities for you and your girlies like a braid bar and flowers — not to mention the extended happy hour at Taqueria Feliz just down the street. Grab your spots here.
Where: The Wall Cycling Studio; 107 Cotton Street, Manayunk
When: Wednesday, February 14, at 5:30 p.m.
