In case you haven’t been keeping up, Philly’s fitness scene is booming, and we’ve just caught wind of yet another opening coming just after the New Year: Orangetheory Fitness will be opening an outpost at the Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons in Northern Liberties. Needless to say, we’re pretty stoked that their Walnut Street location is getting a buddy because that means more heart rate and calorie burn-tracking interval workouts for all.

The new studio, slated to open January 5 at 1050 North Hancock Street, will boast 3,300 square feet of gym space, retail shop, and showers. Orangetheory workouts are known for 60 minutes full of high-energy cardio, endurance, strengt,h and power elements. In an average session, trainers will have you hopping on treadmills, rowing machines, free weights and TRX suspension. Plus, your stats — which show just how hard you’re working – can be displayed on a screen in the workout room, giving you all the extra motivation you need to power through the exercises.

Founding memberships for the new Orangetheory location are available for a limited time, and you might want to scoop ’em up while you can because there are some serious perks included. Think: discounted membership rates, early access to the studio, and more. It’s also worth noting that no Orangetheory membership level requires an annual contract (insert praising hands emoji). More information regarding the studio and memberships can be found here.

Happy sweating!
