Hello, Philadelphia! My name is Caroline Cunningham, and I am the new editor of Be Well Philly and the new health and fitness editor for Philadelphia magazine.
I was a big fan of Be Well Philly prior to moving here from the Washington, DC area, so words really can’t express how excited I am to be working on this brand. But where words fail, there are GIFs:
I know you all probably have some questions about what I’m planning to do in my new role, so here’s a handy little FAQ.
What are your plans for Be Well Philly?
More stories that’ll answer your burning health questions and make living a healthy life in Philadelphia that much easier! Philadelphia’s fitness community is huge 🙌 so I can’t wait to showcase all it has to offer. On Be Well Philly dot com, you’ll find the best of Philadelphia’s health and wellness — whether that be the barre class that can’t be beat, the build-your-own grain bowl we’re digging right now, or our most revered (and feared!) trainers. My goal is for Be Well Philly to be a resource for you all. Want to know where to work out, eat healthy food, zen out? We’re happy to help!
Where can we find you?
Social media, baby! It’s called social for a reason, so please (🙏), be my friend and hang with me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Comment on our posts, tag us everywhere, hashtag #bewellphoto on Instagram, and show us how you’re living your best life in Philadelphia! I can’t wait to see just how much you’re slaying life.
So you’re just going to hide behind your computer all the time?
Oh heck no. You’re going to get sick of seeing me — I’ll be at your gym, in line at your fave smoothie bar, trailing behind you on the Schuylkill River Trail, and, most importantly, at all of Be Well Philly’s super-fun fitness events! Come say hey at a Be Well Philly Underground workout (you’ve signed up for those, right?) or at Be Well Philly Boot Camp this summer, because the friends that sweat together, stay together 👯.
