According 6abc, the Rochester-based grocery chain Wegmans has recalled 1,125 pounds of chicken products shipped to distribution and retail locations in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, along with Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia.

Turns out, the chicken products – including Wegmans Italian Flavored Chicken Breast Cutlet, Wegmans Brown Sugar Barbecue Seasoned Chicken Breast Cutlet, Wegmans Garlic & Fennel Whole Chicken Roaster and Wokery Sherry Chicken 27482 — which are all stamped with the code “EST. or P-7567,” weren’t inspected by a federal inspector before they were sent out of the facility.

As 6abc reports, “The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday night that it issued a Class 1 recall, classified as a situation that has ‘a reasonable probability’ that consuming the product will result in serious, adverse health consequences or death.” So, in other words, if you have one of the recalled products, you’re going to want to chuck it or return it to Wegmans for a full refund — and whatever you do, don‘t eat it.

You can check out a detailed list of the recalled products here.
