You got a pen? You’re going to want to mark this date down: On Thursday, April 16th, Yards Brewing Company is hosting their first Yards Runners’ Happy Hour of the year, complete with free beer and tomato pie. So, not only do you get a free workout, you get free dinner, too!

Here’s the deal: Runners will meet at the Southeast corner of Franklin Square (at 6th and Race streets) at 6 p.m. They’ll run across the Ben Franklin bridge to Camden and back, then up Delaware Avenue to Yards Brewing Company, where every runner will get a free beer or — get this — you can choose to donate the value of your beer ticket to local charity Back on My Feet. How awesome is that?

Starting in May, after the April 16th kick-off, the Yards Runners’ Happy Hours will be held every third Tuesday of the month. If you plan on joining in on the April 16th happy hour, just make sure to register ahead of time here. Otherwise you’ll miss out on the free beer ticket and that would be a shame.
