Beyoncé Launches Vegan Delivery Meal Service
Remember back in 2013, when Beyoncé and Jay Z went on a 22-day vegan stint and Instagrammed the crap out of all the drool-worthy vegan meals they were eating, and basically made the Internet explode? Well, now you can be just like Queen Bey and Instagram the crap out of your vegan meals prepared by the superstar’s new vegan home delivery meal service, 22 Days Nutrition. Yep, you read that correctly: Beyoncé has a vegan home delivery service now.
As Beyoncé explained in a press release, that 22-day vegan stint back in 2013 was inspired by her trainer, and partner in 22 Days Nutrition, Marco Borges. The philosophy behind the 22 Days Nutrition challenge, created by Borges, is that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and come day 22 you’ve got the hang of your healthier ways.
The meals delivered by 22 Days Nutrition are 100-percent plant-based, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and never frozen. They come delivered to your doorstep in a biodegradable insulated cooler once a week. And as long as you live in the continental U.S., they deliver to you.
You can opt to have all of your meals delivered, or go with just one or two meals per day. And while the concept of the meal service was born from the 22 Days Nutrition challenge, the home delivery service isn’t set to a strict 22 days: you can have your food delivered for just a few days or forever. Meals cost between $9 and $15, and the more meals you have delivered per day, the cheaper they are.
“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example,” Beyoncé said in the press release. “He is the most energetic person I know and it’s all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle. He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him.”
