Remember a few months ago, when we told you guys that Philadelphia Runner would be setting up shop on Manayunk’s Main Street soon? Well, the Manayunk store’s doors are slated to open later this winter (exact date TBD), but in the meantime the folks from Philadelphia Runner are just dying to meet their new neighbors. So, in true Philadelphia Runner style, they’ve invited you all to a run.

On Saturday, December 13th, the shop is hosting the Rudolph Run through Manayunk: a three-mile fun run complete with holiday costumes (read: your ugliest holiday-themed sweater), jingle bells and hot chocolate. Can you think of a better way to get in the holiday spirit? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

The run is free and open to everyone. It’ll kick off at Canal View Park (at Main and Gay streets) at 9 a.m., and if you don’t have a Rudolph costume, not to worry: The Manayunk Development Corporation will be doling out red noses and jingle bells. But one thing you will want to bring is a bag of canned goods to donate to the Corporation’s food drive; every item you donate gets you a raffle ticket, and if you’re lucky, you could win dinner for two at a Manayunk restaurant.
