If you’re super bummed you didn’t make it into The Philly 10K, you can lick your wounds (or, as the case may be, drink your alcohol) with a sweet new race happening the same day: the Flying Fish 5K, hosted by Flying Fish Brewing Company in Somerdale, New Jersey, and organized by the folks behind the ODDyssey Half Marathon.

All finishers get a free beer and mug, and, to sweeten the pot for Be Well Philly readers, they’re offering $5 discount to those of you who register this week.

The chip-timed race starts and ends at the brewery. And stick around for the after party, where the brewery will be celebrating the release of its award-winning Oktoberfish beer with live music, food trucks, vendors, and tours of the brewery. There will also be lots and lots of lawn games. The race is $40 ($35 this week with code “BeWellPhilly”) and starts at 10 a.m. on September 6th. For more information and to register, go here.
