To Do: Back On My Feet 5-Miler

Looking for a good tune-up race before Broad Street this spring? The upcoming Back On My Feet 5-Miler, which falls exactly halfway between the opening of the Broad Street Run lottery and the May 4th race itself, might be just the ticket.

The chip-timed race on March 29th starts and end nears the Art Museum on West River Drive. The course goes along the Schuylkill before cutting in the Fairmount Park at the Please Touch Museum. It benefits the local chapter of Back On My Feet, an organization that uses running—and runner-volunteers—to help the homeless in our city.

If you plan on running, BOMF is hosting a kick-off training run on Saturday, February 1st, starting at OCF Coffee at 21st and Fairmount. And leading up to the race, you can get in on training runs almost every day of the week. Details on those are here.

Registration for the five-miler is open here.

$25 through February 2nd, then tiered after that until sell out or race day; Race date is March 29th, West River Drive near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
