New Juice Cafe Now Open in Center City

Ryan Crown's Juice Club's new storefront serves up 16 ounces of pure nutrition. And it tastes good, too!

If you’re anything like me, when the alarm goes off in the morning, “snooze” is the only viable option. Sometimes, this decision leads to pure mayhem when a half hour somehow rolls by and you’re now late for work. Breakfast is the first thing to fall off the morning to-do list.

But we’ve heard it time and time again that breakfast is the most important meal of the day; it replenishes our energy and deters us from overeating later on. Which is why Ryan Crown created a convenient (and healthy!) way for Philadelphians to get their morning nutrition, even when running late.

Through his self-named juice club, Crown concocts juice each morning from entirely organic ingredients like cucumber, apple, lemon and ginger, with no added sugar. He then jumps on his bike at 6 a.m. and will come to your home or workplace to bring you breakfast in a bottle. He offers deliveries in sets of three 16 ounce juices for $20.

Now for the exciting news: Ryan Crown’s Juice Club opened its first store yesterday at 1425 Arch Street (yep, it’s right inside Sweat Fitness). So, if you’re not ready to commit in advance to a delivery but want to try out the healthy (and refreshing) goods, you can swing by and grab one for $5.50.

Unlike Crown’s delivery service, which gives you the choice of two juices, the store brings new mixtures to the almighty juicer, some less herbaceous than others.

“I created [some of] these blends for ‘juice-virgins’ that want to enjoy the benefits of my juice but might be nervous about the taste,” Crown explains.

But this entrepreneur is well-aware that some Philadelphians are seeking that intense health jolt. So, the store also offers more powerful eats like “super juices” (like the Lemon Ginger Blast!), “Superfood shots,” and “Nutri-Tonics,” which are herb-infused and have a more verdant taste.
