Einstein Montgomery Announces COO, Head Clinicians, Job Openings

Big announcements ahead of the fast-approaching fall debut of the new East Norriton facility.

It’s a big week for Einstein Healthcare Network, which announced the chief operating officer and clinician leadership team for its new Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, a 146-bed facility in East Norriton.

Beth Duffy, a 28-year Einstein veteran, has been promoted to the COO position, Einstein president Barry R. Freedman announced yesterday. Duffy’s prior stint as the director of activation planning meant she played a big role in laying the groundwork for the new medical center, ensuring that its services remain patient-focused in keeping with Einstein’s mission.

“Over the last 28 years, Beth has held increasingly advanced leadership positions in many Einstein clinical, regulatory and support services operations,” Freedman said in a statement. “Her attention to detail and her talent for seeing and realizing Einstein’s ‘big picture’ have truly distinguished her performance.”

Also announced this week were the clinical department leaders for the new facility, all either culled from within the Einstein ranks or from Montgomery Hospital, which the new facility replaces. The new hospital will preserve nearly 800 jobs from Montgomery Hospital, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. Some 350 more positions will be added before the September 29th opening.

Speaking of which, some of those openings were announced this week, too. The jobs, which range from food-service workers to physicians, are posted on Einstein Medical Center Montgomery’s website. Some positions require training and begin in July or August. Applications are now being accepted, and new jobs are being added to the database daily.
