Opening tomorrow night at the Arden Theatre, the powerful A Prayer for Owen Meany is sure to inspire. Based on John Irving’s best-selling novel of friendship, faith and loyalty in 1950s New Hampshire, the production has received rave reviews since its 2002 world premiere in London. Doug Hara, who has acted in two Broadway plays, stars as Owen; Ian Merrill Peakes takes the role of John, his unlikely best friend. Adapted by Simon Bent and directed by the award-winning Terrence J. Nolen, the play runs through October 15th.
