There’s no resisting the temptation of It’Sugar. The two-story, 6,000-square-foot dentist’s nightmare at the new Pier at Caesars is the first thing you see from the Boardwalk. It is, in candyman Jeff Rubin’s words, a “department store of sweets,” featuring 48 colors of M&Ms, 84 Jelly Belly options (one million of the beans have been fashioned into a 20-foot-tall replica of Lucy the Elephant), and a nostalgic stroll through 75 years of sweets. At the center of this Willy Wonka fantasy is the “make your own chocolate bar,” complete with a bartender to help you choose the Belgian chocolate (dark is very of-the-moment) and colorful toppings that will be formed into a personalized treat. May we suggest mini Oreos, Teddy Grahams and Swedish Fish?
