Jason & Megan

Wedding Date: August 24, 2013 in Philadelphia, PA

How They Met: Megan and Jason met their first night of their freshman year at Gettysburg College in August 2004. While they both were college athletes and participated in greek life, their four years at Gettysburg were extremely excited and interesting. After graduating in 2008, the two moved to New York City. In the fall of 2011, they finally got engaged and in the summer of 2012 moved to Philadelphia to be closer to family. It is well known that since their meeting in 2004, they have been inseparable.

The Proposal: Jason surprised Megan by proposing on a Saturday afternoon in Central Park, New York City. While they found their way to their favorite park bench by the pond, a saxophone was playing in the background and casually, without Megan noticing, Jason got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. He followed up by saying he was taking her to a private brunch in Chelsea, when in all actuality, he had a surprise engagement brunch with all of their friends from their hometown, Gettysburg College, and New York waiting in the back. Megan walked into and they immediately starting playing, "I think I wanna marry you," while all of the people she loved were there to celebrate her special day.
