How They Met: William and I met in our kindergarten class at just five years old! We grew up together in Sicklerville, New Jersey and were the best of friends until fifth grade year, when my family moved away to Philadelphia. Throughout middle school, we attempted to stay in contact with each other through written letters but quickly lost touch due to changes in our phone numbers and addresses. William found me on the internet during our college years and we stayed in contact for about 5 months, but again, to my dismay, we lost contact. In August 2011, William found me once again, and shortly thereafter we began dating. It has been pure bliss ever since, for I am truly marrying my best friend! Who would have ever thought that I would marry my long time childhood best friend?! I never would have thought it, but I'm glad that I am!
The Proposal: On March 20, 2012, while I was cooking dinner in my kitchen, my 2-year-old daughter, Juli, walked up to me and tapped me on the back of my leg. When I turned around, she was holding a small, black jewelry box that was open just enough for me to see the ring inside. She said, "Mommy, will you marry us?" Laughing hysterically, I replied "Yes, of course!", and William came out of hiding.
