Mark & Carly

Wedding Date: October 05, 2013 in Hyatt at The Bellevue

How They Met: Mark and Carly met at an Armenian social event in Carly's home state of Michigan in May 2007. Mark and Carly both interned in NYC that summer as they were both heading into their senior year of college Carly at University of Michigan, and Mark at University of Pennsylvania. They have been dating for the past 5 years.

The Proposal: Mark majored in French at UPenn and noted the romantic gesture of couples placing locks on bridges when he and Carly spent time in Europe last summer. Mark chose July 14th, Bastille Day, to propose to Carly. After a run on the Schuylkill River running trail, Mark took Carly to the spot where he buried a lock which he personalized with their initials. When Carly turned to put the lock on the fence, Mark got down on one knee and proposed to the love of this life. C'est Manifique! Mark also had a photographer there to catch the special moment. Both their families were there to celebrate after at Water Works.
