How They Met: Steve and I had been friends for 4 years before we started dating - he was the first person I met at Villanova, but we were both in relationships. I knew he had a crush on me for a while, but we didn't actually start dating until the end of our Senior year. He is from Tampa, Fl, so we were navigating not only a new relationship, but also a long-distance one. He made the move to Philly a few months later, and has been here ever since.

The Proposal: It was our 3 year anniversary and we both had the day off of work. At the time, Steve worked for the First Judicial District of Philadelphia, so unbeknownst to me, he arranged something with Philadelphia police offers to take us up to the top of City Hall after it closed. I thought we were celebrating our anniversary, but as soon as I realized City Hall was closed and it was just us up there, I knew what was going on. Two minutes after we got to the top, he was down on his knee and I truly couldn't believe what was happening. It was the perfect engagement that only continued with surprises, including dinner at Tinto in Rittenhouse, a night at the Hotel Warwick, and a surprise appearance by our family and friends. The best part of the engagement was when I found out that he had called my boss and asked her to give me the day off so he could propose. He thought of everything!
